Our Team

Libby Gibson, APRN

Women's Health Nurse Practitioner

Libby Gibson attended Emory University. She is board-certified through the Georgia Board of Nursing and the National Certification Corporation. She specializes in women's health with education and training in functional and integrative medicine. She has over 28 years of experience and opened South Georgia Center for Optimal Wellness in 2014.

Her personal journey, going from struggling with chronic illness to thriving with vibrant health, shaped her approach. She focuses on breaking away from cookie-cutter medicine by treating patients as a whole person rather than a list of symptoms. Libby's areas of expertise include bioidentical hormone therapy, thyroid disorders, autoimmune conditions, digestive disorders, menopause, etc.

Outside of helping patients reach optimal wellness, Libby enjoys spending time with family and friends, gardening, and fitness.

Jennifer Rafus

Licensed Acupuncturist

Jennifer Rafus has been part of the SGCOW team since 2017.

In addition to the current treatment modalities at SGCOW,  Jennifer provides acupuncture and polypeptide therapy. She provides care for men and women across the lifespan including children as young as 3 both in the office and remotely by telephone or video.

Jennifer worked with the family physician for the Orlando Magic professional basketball team and Solar Bears which began her interest in working with athletes.

In her time away from the office she enjoys gardening and golfing with her husband and son.
